July third Otter Valley hosted the summer inter club shoot in sweltering conditions . There were 30 shooters in attendance with a 3 way tie for high gun “48” . Well done Bud Vangulk , George Jonkere and Jim Kramer . Otter Valley rose back to the top with 236 to 231 . Great job every one . Three shoots remain , come on out and help the team.
We shot our summer inter Club at Verschoyle on Wednesday June 19th under beautiful summer like conditions . There were 29 shooters with a lot of really good scores , Bob Morphy dominated the shoot with his “48” . Nice work Bob ! The Otter Valley shooters suffered a crushing defeat for the second shoot in a row . We had 233 to their 235 .
Grab your shot guns and come help us out , the South must rise again !
Wednesday June 12th we had our summer inter club shoot at Otter Valley we had 33 shooters and beautiful weather conditions . The Verschoyle crew handed us a beating with a score of 231 to our 229 . The star of the evening was Charlie Cadman who shot a 49 , nearly perfect Charlie , well done .

Wednesday May 29 we had our Interclub shoot at Verschoyle , conditions were rather gloomy but the rain held off .
25 shooters battled it out and the Otter Valley shooters were victorious . It was very close with Otter Valley scoring 224 and Verschoyle scoring 222 , Emil Hartmann dominated the field with a “47” taking the high gun daily . Well done Emil .

We had some very good scores turned in .
On station 1 we have a rabbit target and it appears that Mr. Rob D is not a rabbit hunter .
On stations 2 thru 10 he only dropped 5 targets !!!! Nice shooting Rob !!!

Our friends at the Oxford Sportsman Club (Verscholye) have a Sporting Clay shoot May 26th. I hope to see you all there.
On Sunday May 5th we held our OPTA sponsored registered trap shoot . It was a beautiful day and we had an amazing turn out of shooters and helpers . Thanks to all the club members who helped with the shoot through out the day and a special thank you to Bill Malcolm and Charlie Cadman from Oxford Sportsmans Club .
There were 66 shooters in the sixteens and 57 shooters in the handicap and 36 shooters in the doubles , near record numbers for our club !
Robert Blackburn won the Sixteens with “100 Straight ” way to go
Randy Wenzel earned himself a yard in the Handicap with a 95
Paulo Sampaio won the Doubles with a 95
We had our third inter club shoot at Otter Valley Rod and Gun Club on May 1st. 34 shooters attended the event. Thank you to everyone who came out.
The heavy rains did not dampen our spirits. After the rain had passed, we dried off, and got right back to breaking targets. Otter Valley came through to win the event.
Even with the wet weather there were some very good scores. A big congratulations to Josh Wood. He was the high score with a “50” straight ! Nice shooting Josh !
Thank you to everyone who came out to our Sporting Clay event on April 28th. We had 32 shooters out to enjoy what turned out to be beautiful spring day.

We had our second inter club shoot at Oxford Sportsman Club ( Verschoyle ) on April 24 . It was beautiful spring conditions and there were some good scores shot . We had 33 shooters participate and Otter Valley was once again Victorious . Rick Marlatt was high score of the day with a “48” , way to go Rick !
