A big thank you to all the volunteers who came out for the range clean up day . Every one agreed it was the best turn out they had ever seen . The workers came and threw themselves at the list of jobs that needed done . Other years we have had to leave some tasks not done because we ran out of time . this year the work was done and people were still ready to work . THANK YOU !
As a result the ranges looked amazing for our CFO inspection . The inspector commented that the place has never looked better . Our inspection went well with just a few things that we needed to improve on .
The CAN-AM Winter Sporting Clay League is a sporting competition between clubs that are well know for their sporting clay course and shooters . There are six events this year . One event at each club . If you enjoy clay target shooting you won’t want to miss this opportunity to see each club and the targets they are known for throwing . If you are a hunter, just getting started in clay target shooting, or an avid shooter there is something for everyone ! These events are a great way to practice wing shooting and get to know fantastic people who are passionate about clay target sports .
Otter Valley has been invited to join the CAN-AM sporting clay league this year . And we are very excited to show off our course to new people and to experience the courses at other clubs .
The first shoot is December 4 , that’s not too far away and we are looking for people who can commit to shooting for team Otter Valley . Stan Mathews is our team captain and has all the information you may need . This is a fun league and I strongly encourage everyone to come out and give it a try .

As we are all aware Otter Valley operates primarily through volunteers . All segments of the club can use and need your help . If you can help on a clean up day please do .
If you would like to be more involved be a co-chair in your favorite area . By being a co-chair you will be involved in the decision making process and help to mold the future of the club , you will get a chance to hear what other areas of the club are working on and you may have some thing that you can contribute .
If after a couple years you want even more involvement becoming a segment director is your next step . The club always needs people willing to take on the leadership roles within our organisation .
Please ask the volunteers at the membership renewal tables how you can become more involved and help keep our club the beautiful relaxing place that it is .
